Terms and Conditions of Use of Verso Services
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms") govern the use of the Verso application, the Verso virtual card, and all services offered by A'KIBA Technologies, a company registered in Gabon under RCCM number GA-LBV-01-2022-B12-00652, with headquarters at 408 Section: PA, Plot 19 TF 20921, Boulevard Triomphale, Libreville, GABON.
Verso is a financial management app that allows users residing in Gabon to obtain a virtual card for online payments and access features such as budgeting, peer-to-peer transfers, bill payments, mobile top-ups, and recurring subscriptions (e.g., Netflix, Spotify).
Use of the app or the Verso card constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.
2. Definitions
Verso App: The mobile application developed by A'KIBA Technologies, available on Android and iOS, providing access to the financial services offered.
Verso Card: A prepaid virtual VISA payment card issued by A'KIBA Technologies in partnership with Ecobank, for online purchases in Gabon and internationally.
User: Any natural person at least 18 years old, residing in Gabon, and having registered an account on the Verso app.
Verso Account: The user's personal space in the app to check balance, view transactions, and manage their card.
Services: All features provided by Verso: virtual card, payments, transfers, top-ups, subscriptions, etc.
Personal Data: Information that directly or indirectly identifies a User (name, phone number, ID, etc.).
Chatbot: An automated system in the app for user assistance.
OTP (One-Time Password): A unique verification code sent to the User during registration or to authorize transactions.
3. Access to Services
Verso services are only available to individuals who:
- Are 18 years of age or older;
- Reside in Gabon;
- Have an active Airtel Money phone number (for top-ups);
- Have downloaded the Verso mobile app;
- Have completed registration with the required ID documents.
4. Availability
Verso is available 24/7, except during maintenance. Access may be temporarily suspended for security, updates, or regulatory compliance. User data is securely hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers.
5. Registration and Account Creation
To use Verso, the User must create an account through the app by:
- Downloading the app on Android or iOS;
- Entering a valid Gabonese phone number (Airtel Money);
- Entering the OTP sent by SMS;
- Choosing a secure personal password;
- Filling out the identity form (full name, birth date/place, residence, phone, email);
- Uploading a valid ID (CNI, passport, or CNAMGS card);
- Taking a clear selfie while holding the ID.
A'KIBA Technologies reserves the right to reject or suspend incomplete, fraudulent, or non-compliant registrations.
6. Identity Verification (KYC)
Full access to Verso requires completing KYC. Submitted information must be:
- Accurate;
- Verifiable;
- Clearly transmitted through the app.
Attempts at concealment, identity theft, or document forgery will result in immediate account suspension.
The User authorizes Verso to verify information via third parties (banks, mobile money operators, official databases).
7. Biometric Data and Facial Verification
Verso uses third-party service Smile ID for secure facial verification as part of KYC. This includes comparing the user's selfie with their ID.
- Data collected: One facial image (selfie), captured during KYC.
- Purpose: To confirm identity and prevent fraud, per KYC regulations.
- Data sharing: Facial data is securely sent only to Smile Identity Inc., a certified identity verification provider.
- Storage: Data is securely hosted by Smile ID on compliant servers.
- Retention: Data is deleted after the identity verification process, typically within 90 days, unless legally required to retain it.
- Compliance: Verso does not collect or store TrueDepth data or use real-time facial recognition or AR features.

8. Account Security
The User is solely responsible for:
- Keeping their password and OTP confidential;
- Securing their mobile device;
- All activity on their Verso account.
Strictly prohibited:
- Sharing passwords or OTPs;
- Allowing others to access the account;
- Creating multiple accounts with false identities.
In case of suspected fraud or unauthorized access, the User must:
- Change their password;
- Contact support (via app or email);
- Request account suspension.
A'KIBA Technologies may disable or delete suspicious or non-compliant accounts without notice.
9. Verso Card Overview
The Verso Card is a prepaid virtual VISA card issued by A'KIBA Technologies with Ecobank. It allows:
- Online payments (local and international);
- Recurring subscriptions (e.g., Netflix, Apple, Spotify);
- Real-time transaction tracking in the app.
Each User may generate one virtual card after identity verification.
Note: No physical card is issued at launch. Only one active card per user.

11. Card Operation
The card operates on real-time balance authorization. If balance is insufficient:
- Payment is declined;
- After 3 failed attempts, the card is temporarily blocked;
- Recharging the account unblocks the card (no fees for unblocking).
12. Card Use and Security
User must:
- Never share card details (number, CVV, expiry date);
- Avoid saving card on unsafe websites;
- Protect their phone and Verso account with password or biometrics.
If the card is compromised or misused:
- Immediately disable the card via the app;
- Contact support;
- A'KIBA is not liable for transactions made before blocking if negligence occurred.
13. Payments and Subscriptions
The Verso card can be used for:
- Online purchases (local/international);
- Subscriptions (Spotify, Deezer, Netflix);
- One-time or recurring payments.
User must ensure sufficient balance. Overdraft is not allowed.
14. Account Top-Up
Only Airtel Money is currently supported. No fees apply.
Conditions:
- Airtel number must belong to the User;
- Funds are credited instantly unless there's a network issue;
- Confirmation is sent by notification or email.
User is responsible for entering correct number and amount.
15. Transfers Between Users
Transfers are:
- Instant;
- Free;
- Made using the recipient's Verso phone number.
Transferred amounts are final and non-reversible.
16. Bill Payment and Phone Top-Up
Verso allows Users to:
- Pay water, electricity, and TV bills;
- Top-up Airtel credit for themselves or others.
Fees: None – these services are completely free.
All transactions are recorded in the app history.
17. Notifications and Monitoring
Users receive:
- Notifications for every transaction;
- Card status alerts;
- Subscription payment reminders;
- Monthly spending summaries.
18. Limits and Caps
Limits may apply to:
- Daily top-up amounts;
- Transfer frequency or volume;
- Number of generated cards.
These are defined by A'KIBA and displayed in the app.
Responsibility, Privacy, and Account Suspension
19. User Responsibility
User is solely responsible for:
- How their card and account are used;
- Safeguarding login and personal data;
- Authorized payments and subscriptions;
- Accuracy of registration information.
Any fraud or negligence may result in immediate account suspension or closure without compensation.
20. A'KIBA Technologies' Responsibility
A'KIBA strives to provide reliable services but is not liable for:
- Service interruptions due to maintenance or technical issues;
- Losses caused by User's mishandling of login/security data;
- Delays from external partners (mobile operators, payment networks);
- Disputes with merchants or third parties.
A'KIBA's liability is limited to fees paid in the last 6 months unless gross negligence occurs.
21. Privacy and Data Protection
User data is processed securely and in accordance with Gabonese data laws. Data is:
- Stored securely on AWS servers;
- Used solely for service provision;
- Never sold or shared without consent unless legally required.

22. Account Suspension and Closure
Accounts may be suspended or closed:
- If Terms are violated;
- In cases of fraud, suspicious, or illegal behavior;
- Upon User request (via app or email);
- After 6+ months of inactivity.
Remaining balance is refunded to the User via Airtel Money or other provided mobile account within 30 days.
Legal Terms, Changes, and Contact
23. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using Verso, the User expressly accepts the current Terms.
Anyone who does not accept the Terms may not access the app or Verso services.
24. Changes to Terms
A'KIBA may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in services, law, or technical needs. Users will be notified via app or email.
Continued use of Verso implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
25. Intellectual Property
All elements of the Verso app (logos, content, design, text, etc.) are the property of A'KIBA Technologies or licensed for use.
Unauthorized use or reproduction is strictly prohibited.
26. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Gabon. Any dispute will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Libreville, Gabon.
